A storyteller by nature
Allow me to introduce myself, I’m Chloe Kim - a digital maven who lives to craft stories for the digital age. The work I have done runs the gamut - from producing video explainers and features to writing breaking news stories and writing for live pages.

In-depth video features
From pitch to publication, I led this five minute video feature - producing and editing - on the 20th anniversary of 9/11. I found three boat captains, by scouring social media, who rescued people off Manhattan after the attack on the Twin Towers. Along with coordinating shoot logistics (filming on a boat anyone?) in NYC and upstate NY (racing against mother nature to film before dark), I located and cleared archive footage and photos to use in the piece. I also edited the digital piece and tracked the episode for the BBC’s Facebook show.
Out in the field reporting
After arriving to New York County Courthouse at 5:15 in the morning and waiting hours outside, I was able to get inside the courtroom for Donald Trump’s historic day of testimony in his civil fraud trial - reporting for news stories and live pages.
I was also a courtroom reporter for the testimony of Ivanka Trump, Donald Trump Jr, Eric Trump and Michael Cohen - sharing breaking news with the newsroom as fast as possible, like when Trump had been fined for violating a gag order.
On-camera and live radio hits
I have on-camera experience presenting videos in a social friendly way - explaining the US political system on TikTok to giving an American’s unfiltered reaction to Eurovision.
And on many occasions, I’ve corresponded with producers in London to do live radio hits on short notice - sometimes within the hour. I think on my feet and remain calm under pressure while talking to radio hosts across the Atlantic - informing listeners on everything from the state of US abortion policies to quirky viral stories.
